2015
First Encounter - The Spark
We first met in the most typical way— as classmates worked in the same group for a project. Little did we realize at the time that this encounter would ignite the start of our connection and found ourselves drawn together.
2016 - 2020
Growing Closer - The Blossoming & The Euphoria
Study sessions that turn into late night chats and phone calls, revealing each other's dreams, fears, and secrets. There hasn't been a day we haven't talked. Valen was captivated by Jesen's effortless jokes that make her laughing continuously. In turn, Jesen admired Valen's kindness and smile. We fell hard for each other. She was the first for him and he was the real deal for her.
2021 - 2022
Challenges Arises - The Storm & The Realization
For almost six years, we’ve been on a journey of love, marked by endless distance, living in different timezone and a whirlwind of emotions. During that time, we were just seeing each other only two to four times a year. Those brief visits became cherished moments. Long-distance relationship, as we’ve come to understand is not for the weak. It tests us so. There were moments when we questioned not only our relationship but also ourselves. The weight of the distance and uncertainty set us apart further. We have faced our fair share of ups & downs, but these moments of growth have truly defined our love story. It hasn't always been easy, but it was all worth the fight.
2023
Building a Future - The Commitment
In the fourth quarter of 2023, we planned to begin our liberty - Marriage. We are one of many proofs that love knows no border and that, if you hold onto it, can defeat the hardest tests. Our journey, while troubled at times, has strengthened us both individually and as a couple. We've been supporting each other's dream, celebrating achievements, and overcoming obstacles as a team.
2024
Enduring Love - The Triumph
As the wedding day approached, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the endless details. Despite our excitement, we struggled to balance our busy schedules with the demands of planning. Miscommunication over small thing led to frustration, and budget constraints forced us to compromise on our ultimate vision. Yet, through late-night talks and laughter over takeout, we learned to lean on each other, turning stress into shared memories. In those moments, we realized that the journey mattered just as much as the wedding itself. We are entering a new phase of our life. Sharing our life together till death do us apart. #VALLforJESEN
